Our Platform

Natick Forever is a Political Action Committee whose members and collective resources are dedicated to the following:

ü  Respect for Natick, its people, its land, its heritage, and those (past and present) who have lived in, worked for, and contributed to the community

ü  Volunteerism

ü  Dedication to representative government that reflects the values of its constituents and demonstrates unequivocal respect for its specific choices;

ü  Government that encourages:

·         visibility of processes and decision-making,

·         integrity of its employees, volunteers, and elected and appointed officials,

·         participation of residents and appropriate volunteers and experts in governmental processes,

·         cooperation with private and non-profit groups to advance community objectives,

·         cost-effective, innovative public services based on documented and voter-supported needs.

ü  A school system that promotes:

·         innovative, effective, and practical quality education within the constraints of the community’s ability to pay and willingness to fund,

·         academic and physical excellence,

·         diversity of viewpoints but prohibits political and philosophical bias in curricula and in classrooms,

·         Active solicitation of private, supplemental funding of public schools to alleviate the growing and unsustainable education-related tax burden on singles, childless families, and senior citizens.

ü  Community improvement that favors voluntary cooperation over government coercion,

ü  Fiscal responsibility, which includes in Natick support only for overrides with very specific purposes and expiration dates;  and uncompromising execution at all levels of government of binding referenda,

ü  Fiscal fairness – top priority to the needy, regardless of ages, (the disabled and less fortunate), with financing oriented to use and consumption mechanisms and tempered by exemptions and reductions for those unable to pay.

Natick Forever will support candidates adhering to its principles and will work to amend the town charter, by-laws, and various agency, committee, and administrative policies to reflect these principles.
